Deliver My Container is a digital freight marketplace designed to replace fragmented email chains with a structured system for container shipping. We connect UK importers with vetted freight forwarders, standardising the job specification process to ensure faster, more accurate quoting.
The platform is free for importers to list jobs and compare quotes. While there is a platform fee for forwarders (3% + VAT), DMC does not collect this on platform. To match industry cash-flow norms, all shipping payments are handled directly between the importer and the forwarder.
We maintain a high-quality marketplace by verifying all participants. For importers, we verify UK business legitimacy to ensure listings represent genuine shipments. For forwarders, we only allow licensed, professional freight forwarders onto the platform, prioritising those who adhere to industry standards and carry the necessary liability insurance.
You can post any Full Container Load (FCL) sea freight shipment. To ensure forwarders can quote accurately without back-and-forth emails, every job must follow the "One Job, One Route" rule representing one origin, one destination, and one incoterm. You can choose from three commercial models: ‘Fixed Price’, ‘Reverse Auction’, or ‘Get Quotes’.
DMC provides a centralised dashboard where every job has a clear status, from "Live" to "Delivered". Because execution happens off-platform, these statuses are updated manually by the parties involved to act as a shared "Source of Truth". This housekeeping ensures everyone stays aligned on the shipment’s progress without the need for manual status-check emails.
